Oddfellows, resturaunt and bar

SITE CONTEXT:
The building shell is an inner city heritage listed building which was built in 1849, with a contemporary extension, which entwines itself into the original brick building. The site is in the heart of the cbd.

PROJECT BRIEF:
The client wanted a pub offering a warming environment with strong focus on the context. The hotel had to cater for both corporate and family customers, with separate kitchens and dining areas, and adequate seating/facilities. Lots of outdoor seating, focus on a wood-fire pizza oven, and an upstairs restaurant were essentials.

DESIGN RESPONSE:
Intelligent design has produced a functional social venue, with appealing aesthetics that cater for a variety of clientele. The fitout respects both the contemporary surroundings, and the heritage shell of the old pub. Indoor outdoor relationships are seamless, while the upstairs is seemingly another world.
