The individual styling and organization of this store caters for the delicate specifics of optical stores professional needs, at the same time a store identity was created.  The fit out was particularly well received by the client, equally appealing to potential clientele.

The brief was to create a modern look design that would hold high aesthetic merit in a new extension to a well established shopping center.  The styling was to be unique and unprecedented in the optometry market place.  All aspects of the shop were custom designed to fill the shop from a skeletal stage, whilst acting as a blueprint for future chain stores. 

The soundproof consultation room was very specific in size and had to be accessed by clients without interfering with the main counter’s workspace.  The staff preparation area was to be sufficiently screened while enabling store supervision from.  Specific needs in relation to displays, heights, and mirrors also had to be considered. 

A stepped up, curved platform with raised counter front & stainless steel rail was designed to screen the clutter of the preparation area.  Along with the curved counter at a stepped down level, these elements would direct natural flow in to the consultation room.  The ceiling curves both ways to mimic the floor treatment and create a runway look, sucking in customers and on lookers off the mall. 

‘Studio look’ lockable island displays were designed to minimize blind areas from the counter.  Likewise cabinets and showcases were designed to present the products aptly.

Seating areas and mirror consoles would beak up the long lines of sight, add interest, and act as genre separators for the product.

The use of timber veneers, plywood bench tops, glass, and stainless steel gives vivid contrast to the rich colors presented in the store.
